"Production companies are often priced down and treated as order-takers far more than their talents and contributions deserve."

MARKET YOUR EXPERTISE

I’m on a mission to help you grow your business by "productizing" your work to new clients, and not relying on the people you already know.

Because when you lead with your craft, you increase your visibility to potential clients who are looking for your specific service. You demonstrate more clearly what sets your work apart. Most importantly, you increase your value.

My point of view has been shaped by training, mentoring, and through years of trial and error application in business.

From leading fundraising campaigns when I co-founded The Vera Project, to growing the film gear marketplace ShareGrid, to managing the film studio All is Well; I’ve seen what works and what doesn’t, what’s short-lived, and what’s built to last.

I’ve made advertising deals from many sides of the transaction. I’m now in the business of sharing what I believe works the best for all parties involved.

For commercial film production companies, I believe it begins by leaning into your craftwork.

FILM PRODUCTION FOCUSED

While my services are applicable to a variety of client-based agencies, I'm focused primarily on growing commercial film production companies.

It was during my time as the Film Commissioner for the City of Seattle that I built a passion for supporting film companies. Whether it was attracting out-of-state productions with marketing campaigns like Commercialize Seattle or persuading entire neighborhoods to lock-down their streets for filming, I’ve enjoyed being an advocate for film producers and crews.

Maybe it’s my blue-collar upbringing, combined with my thirst for art; but I've grown to think of filmmakers as my kind of people.

Filmmakers also need the most help.

In the advertising business, production companies are often priced down and treated as order-takers far more than their talents and contributions deserve. I don’t know if this trend can be entirely turned around, but I do believe I can assist those who no longer want to follow it.

Contact me if you want to talk shop.

I enjoy exchanging business insights and stories, and on a personal level, music and running.

Sincerely,
